Norbert Kricke (* 30. November 1922 in Düsseldorf; † 28. Juni 1984 ebenda) was a german sculptor.
His main work is the so-called space sculptures of metal lines that run dynamically through the space. Kricke tried to convey through the depiction of space and movement a sense of freedom.
From the first abstract sculptures in the early 1950s until his death he has remained faithful to the lines as a design tool. He is one of the most important representatives of German post-war modernism.
Kricke, 1946 he studied at the Academy of the Arts Berlin at the traditional sculptor Richard Scheibe. 1947 Kricke moved to Dusseldorf, and was appointed in 1964 as a professor at the Düsseldorf Art Academy,until 1981 he was the director.
